Sneak Peek

Want to peek inside our church? Here’s a few pictures from a typical Sunday at The Lighthouse Church.

NCHS begins transformation into a working church building a little before 8:00 am. The lights are turned on and the mats are rolled out.

Then it’s time to put up the projection screen. -editor note: This photo was taken the first time they’ve ever set up at NCHS.

After the screen is in place, the dividers go up, the alters are placed, speakers moved in and the band starts to set up for practice.

Some chairs are placed on the floor level for additional seating.

Here at The Lighthouse Church, we don’t pass around an offering plate. If you choose to tithe or make an offering, we have a lighthouse (shown in the picture below) in which to place it, on the table outside the gym doors. And we do ask, out of respect for NCHS, that no food or drink be brought into the gymnasium.

We have several different Connection Classes (Sunday School) for you to choose from. We have classes for married couples, older adults, college and career, teens, school age and even for the littlest ones. Although some are larger than others, you’re always welcome to join in the fun!

The LifeSavers Connection Class

The Sunbeams Connection Class.

The Shining Beacons Connection Class.

The Edge Connection Class

After Connection Class (or before) feel free to stop in the cafeteria and have some coffee or hot chocolate. And most of the time on the 1st Sunday of the month, we have a fellowship time instead of Connection Classes. It’s called Happy Hour and there’s plenty of food to eat.

As the band starts to play, the words are projected so you can sing along.
*That’s Pastor Jason back there on the drums.

We usually stand and sing, but there are no rules. If you’re unable or would rather sit down, you are more than welcome to do so.

After service, everything is taken down and packed in the trailer for next week. Those brown crates are the nursery storage boxes (toys, playpens and such). There’s still a little more to load and by the time it’s finished, the trailer is full.
